Scale Model #7
This model was a gift to the owners of the home from an individual for whom I had previously created a model. It was created from the blueprints of their planned renovations. The model enabled the homeowner to show how the swimming pool could be constructed and helped with the permitting process. This replica appeared in the Orlando magazine when an article was written about renovations of older homes in Orlando, Florida. It is an example of the Georgian Colonial houses built in the 1700's.
The scale is 1" = 3' and is constructed of basswood glued on luan plywood. The pool is formed oak with decorative rock siding. The latticework around the base of the house is made of individual pieces of basswood glued together to get the criss-cross effect.
