Scale Model #8
This is a model of a home built in the early 1900's. Made as a keepsake for someone who wanted a tabletop replica of their newly refurbished home. The porch railing is constructed of individual pieces of basswood glued together, as well as the latticework on the base. This house has a tin roof, but the rest of the house is constructed of basswood glued to luan plywood.
The balustrades were crafted from oak turned on a miniature lathe. The extra details include brass pots of flowers hanging from the porch ceiling.
